Put up some thoughts about my x.0 crankset that I got over the Xmas break.

Shibi, when you get tired of yours and switch to XX1 or ShSh1, I will happily buy the crank from you. ;)

I want an XX crankset to go with my shifters but, alas.... it's only a 30 g saving. Pass.

I like two things about the SRAM cranks - GXP is IMHO a better engineered design than Hollowtech II, and the removable spider with splines. I run a budget OEM version of the cranks - the 2011 S1400 - which was btw. exactly the same crank as the AKA, X.7 and X.9, and I like it a lot. Removable spider == new options like the Bling Ring for 1x10 and 1x9 drivetrains.

And once you go XX the spider gets integrated into the right crank. That's a massive 30 grams savings. You see why I'm not upgrading?
