New thread for discussing 3rd party mounts for your POV cameras. :D

I've ordered from DealExtreme (http://www.dx.com) several times in the past. I'm a big fan of their flashlight mounts, btw. ;)

I was looking around at mounting options for my Drift HD and didn't care for the choice and price of the official Drift products. I knew DX sold 3rd party GoPro stuff and I also knew they had a GoPro to 1/4" adapter. The Drift accepts a 1/4" threaded post for mounting.

For $45, I just ordered a box full of stuff...

This should allow me to put together a chest mount, bar mount, and a 'universal' type mount. When everything arrives (probably a month or so), I'll get busy testing and reporting how well it works.

Anyone else use 3rd party mounts for your POV camera? How did it work out for you?

I purchased this mount from TheHeroCompany that sells through amazon. It must have been on sale when I purchased it, b/c I know it wasn't $30. It was very well made.

The manufacture (middle man?) is The Accessory Pro. They have several nice items through Amazon too.

Mounts arrived today!

I'll spend some time trying the Drift HD in various mount configurations on the bike and post up the results.

The mount in the lower right came with the Drift. It's a "shoulder" mount. I'll put it on the shoulder strap of the chest mount harness...
