Just got back from a week in Baja. No riding (I was hoping), but I did get to pet some whales and saw some blue footed boobies.

Nice!
Where did you go down there?

That sounds fun, Norton! :)

Last ride in the cold before warm air and rain ruin it again. :(

Yes that is solid ice top to bottom, fun!

Looks slippery treacherous. Nice shots as usual.

Stayed a week in Loreto. Went to the Pacific side and took a boat out to a mom and her calf. Both were incredibly friendly. The calf would roll around next to the boat and I was able to touch his fin and his belly. Then we went out to Coronado Island and being a National Park the wildlife was amazing. That's where I saw the blue footed boobies. On the way back a Humpback was jumping out of the water in front the boat for about 30 minutes.

Sounds amazing, a trip like that makes it hard to return to your everyday life. Blue footed boobies are a rare sight. Only seen in a few places in the world, lucky you.

TY sir! She’s old school AF but it’s like a family member to me. Broke my heart when I busted it 11/16. After riding it again this winter I have no regrets burning a hole in my bike fund to fix it.

Been a long time since I’ve posted here, 2 kids since my last post is all I have to say.. lol

Riding less lately but that’s getting better since my 2nd born is almost 4 months old. I did complete an endurance race last year that I signed up again for this year. It’s in April and is a quick 45 mile spin in the local mountains with over 8k elevation gain... and that’s the small one of the two.

Got out today for 15 miles and 1900’ ups. Hope everyone is doing well!

Not sure how I used to add pics to this site but the sizing is all whack so unable to add any..

next ten days are above freezing. Trails are 50% cheese grater ice where foot traffic is present. Glass where it’s been just fat bikes

Trailmonkey I see google has free image hosting. After the photo bucket deal I’m not sure I’d bother with it but it is another option

Been going through my Alenax past few weeks. Cleaning, greasing and tending to some shifting and rear hub issues. Shift rockers all had bent pivot screws and a bearing in the rear hub went to poo.

Bike cleaned up like an old penny. Shifts as smooth as it ever could.

The parts bike I bought to keep it going was turned into one of Marp’s stools :D

That thing is still so silly! You need to take video of some rowdy trail riding.

Our dirt was great for one short day. Snow tonight and then mud for the rest of the week.

No more trai riding for it. I’m sure that’s what did the damage to the back hub. Crushed under its own weight.

I agree on the relive deal. Very cool app. Makes an excellent ride summary

I think we’re all but done with that here. Got an inch last night after it all melted off this week but it’s just white rain at this point.

I agree but OTOH, if they want to ride, then they have to ride in the snow when it's around. Tough SOBs, they are! :D

Meanwhile, us spoiled rotten Left Coasters...
