Every winter season is different. We've had a few good rides so far.

December was ideal for trail riding where there was hiker traffic.

Nice pics, Judy. We were riding the usual stuff until 1/27 when the first big storm came and from that moment on, it has been just one massive nightmare. 10-20" twice a week don't allow for much riding, not even on the busiest trails.

Tomcat: We found out from the police that it was a stolen car and when we returned the following week, it had been recovered

Same here. We were riding pretty regularly up until 3 weeks ago. It was snowing on this ride and got colder and colder.

Yeah, we're dropping to single digits all week, and yesterday's glop will freeze solid.

If the local trails aren't used by hikers today they'll be rideable. If not the neighborhood roads are it, and I'll become Mr. Grumpy Cat.

I feel so warm and lonely out here in Los Angeles. A high of 50 is a very cold day here, as is a low of 27 or 28. Takes a Polar Express out of Alaska or an Act of Congress lately to see those kind of temps here.

Supposed to be 72 or 73 for the high today, I am afraid that if I push hard climbing up the mountain for 1500 vertical feet in 50 or 60 minutes, that there will be sweat dripping off my nipples.

End of winter ride. The ground is still frozen and trails were a combination of ice/soft snow or puddles. Dirt and grass about 30% of the trail.
